Reno@CCK2 Maisonette - Pre Reno Photos

IT'S ALL STARTING PEEPS!!!
we have been keeping our 2nd maisonette in CCK in the wraps until now where it's the moment to reveal the reno journey.
And we are conquering into Choa Chu Kang district now...yippee yay yay!
This marks our 10th maisonette in a year. *beams with pride*

one of our clients' contractor told us that he has been in the reno industry for 20 years now and he has done over 20 maisonettes and look how far we have come!!! In a short span of 1 year, we have completed 9 maisonettes and this will be our 10th!!! So lucky 10th!! Imagine the number of maisonettes which we can accomplish in 10 years time. (you can do the math!) So I'm having a lot of faith and courage that everyone of my "babies" will turn out pretty and splendid. This will be my best gift to all my supporters and readers!!!

so goodbye to all the old and let's welcome the new especially now that we are nearing to the end of the year.

ps: in case my faithful readers have been following really closely, this is our 11th maisonette, but not in a year. Plus we have done another condo which is also double storeys and we have yet ANOTHER condo coming up which is double storeys too! So stay tune for it's welcome opening targeted in dec!!!

ppps: most prob it will be on tuesdays onwards because Mondays I have to run the construction site in my day job.

Reno@CCK2 Maisonette - New beginnings

Dry and Wet Kitchen (fengshui?)

For all kitchen designs, to create a flow of workspace between the two functions: cooking and prep work is important. This is where the concept of the dry and wet kitchen comes into play. Often, the wet kitchen is where cooking and cleaning is done. The dry kitchen serves as the preparation zone or display area.  Now in modern times, more often that you think, it becomes a showpiece of the home and/or breakfast chill area for family members and guests.
The two functional areas are separated physically which allows the two areas to operate independently and also maintain overall spatial integrity. This creates a sense of space and abundance.

The location of the three key equipment items - stove, fridge and sink is designed such to avoid conflict with one another. In the case of the wet kitchen, the stove and sink are placed in a way so they are not in a direct line with one another. Similarly, the fridge is located inside its own compartment to avoid a direct line with the stove.

ultimately, the importance lies with the user and the space that creates the fond memories for the family.

Reno@CCK Maisonette - Marble laid and A/C trunking

Marble dry lay was done over last weekend and the entire week was to lay the marble tiles for the lower floor. And the aircon trunking has been laid too.
Lots of patching up done for the ceiling, this happens once the original cornices and false ceiling are being removed.

sneak peak at the marble tiles underneath the plastic sheet.

electrical wirings have been pulled. Time to shop for lights!

More patching up in the common bedroom upstairs. And most probably we have to box up this aircon trunking.
Patch works in the master room.
Aircon trunking in the bathroom leading to the compressors. Not to worried about here since we have already catered for false ceiling to hide these thick trunkings!

stay tune for more updates this coming weekend.
