The Ancilla flat is designed for the little girl who resides here.

and of cos a place for her trusty watch dog.
dedicated area for umbrellas in the storage compartment
and not forgetting more storage for kites, sunblock and hats.
She even has a compartment of shoes.
A small shelf for all items in the pocket, placed near the entrance door

a play area for the little princess who does all her craftwork.

plants and a little dinosaur.
very zakka.

Reno@Ancilla BTO - KITCHEN!

For the kitchen, we kept all the floor and wall tiles, bifold door and lourve windows. The whole works to keep the reno budget low. The kitchen countertop is finished in a woody looking top with white top and bottom cabinets.

Reno@Ancilla BTO - Final photos of the Master bedroom

The bedframe and bedside tables are from IKEA and the missus did a really good job in choosing the wardrobe and study table laminate that matches very well with the IKEA furniture!
see the sides of the wardrobe in wood laminate?
Looks very similar to the ikea furniture! We wanted to add more wood to the built in wardrobe and study table but the missus really likes white alot, so much more than us!
White baywindow storage with beige seating cushions and white study table. Only the corner open shelf in finished in the wood laminate.

The corner was purposefully chamfered to avoid sharp corners.

Reno@Ancilla BTO - The Princess Room!

The mummy says the little girl chose her own curtains and I think she has the makings of an interior designer! and she chose her own accent wall colour too - PINK!

Reno@Ancilla - Wardrobe and master room carpentry completed too!

 Guest room
 Daughter's room
Master room. We didn't stretch over the window area because that's the only way to gain access to the aircon ledge for maintenance, if not the master wardrobe could have been slightly longer.
But we made a little modifications on the insides! Because the missus has more tops and bottoms as compared to long dresses, the corner treatment, we added some shelves for more folded clothes as requested.
More storage area along the bottom of the windows and a short dresser.

Close up on the dresser - it has 2 small drawers and 1 long drawer. Good for accessories (smaller drawers) and double up as a stationery drawer (long drawer) if the couple requires to work there. The long drawer is good enough to hold long items like rulers and flat appliances like notebook.

Just to note to all my readers out there. For dressers like these, just be mindful that the drawers can't be too deep, if not will hit into your knees. Not really suitable for tall people. And the chairs that you choose, try not to have arm rests cos most probably they will not fit under the dresser.
A chamfered edge as requested by the couple so as to avoid bumping into 90 deg corners.
here's how it looks with all the storage drawers pulled out!

Reno@Ancilla - Carpentry completed!

hello!
Our reno at Ancilla is near completion. Here's a quick look at the carpentry updates. The tv console is finished already, leaving some electrical patching up to be done.
Here are 2 side tables which the owner has requested to be re-laminated with the same laminates at the feature cabinet and kitchen.
Kitchen storage - up and down cabinets with many drawers for easy retrieval of items. Now waiting for the countertop installation which is schedule for this coming saturday.
 Another view of the kitchen.
Dish rack, internal also finished in the same laminate as the open shelf.
