432B | Hanging Fabric

For those of you who have been following my blog for some time, would know that I will change the hanging fabric above my headboard annually. So this year, I've gotten hubs to peg a retro piece of cloth onto my wall!

The coming year, I've planned for an earthy tone to my master bedroom. Yellow and orange flowers, earth toned bedsheets and a beige neutral floor mat!

Hello Everyone!

Just wanted to share some goodness this Good Friday. We went to Ikea just to have a lookaround and found something that is so pretty that we wanted to share with everyone.

So I have this Ivar shelving units for the longest time, since my first home at Stirling and we brought it over here to store our children's toys. Today at Ikea, I found some really nice looking Ivar ratten swing doors!!! And it certainly spruce up our Ivar shelf greatly.

Above: Before installing the Ivar rattan swing doors. The good thing was we could see all the toys and super easy to take the toys out to play, but the bad thing is that it can look messy.

Bought some roses from our local supermarket to feed my son's stick insects. Apparently I read online they are fussy eaters and only eat a few types of leaves - hibiscus and roses are one of the few types.

how to dress up your bedside table

During CNY gathering, my gf brought over a bottle of prosecco. It was a lovely bottle and I decided to upcycle it to become a vase. Now it's sitting on my bedside table, holding 9 stalks of little yellow dried buds.

Bought some baby's breath to spruce up hubs' office interiors.

Today, hubs brought back home a table! And he reconfigured his study table in the office. With the new table which he bought second hand for $10 cash and carry, he crafted out a little discussion space. Now he sits facing towards the wall which he says he prefers it this way.

ok, let's see how long this setting can last.

Saw this lovely fluted glass vase that came in 2 colours, brown and emerald green. Decided to get the emerald green with a gold base at the bottom. Love it so much!

Bought this lovely blue double happiness vase online and it finally arrived at my place in 1 piece. Thank god for that. Now I'm thinking what sort of flowers should I put in the vase. In my mind, I'm thinking either draping white orchids or yellow sprightly orchids. Not sure why, I just think orchids would be lovely here.

Stay tuned for more updates on my entrance console! I'm constantly thinking how to spruce up this corner of my place.

Took down James' birthday balloons. Cleared all the colourful new year cushions and red throw. Our home albeit looks abit empty but i feel a sense of calm now that everything is back to neutral tones in the home.

This year 2021, i bought matching cushion cover and table cloth from IKEA. It has this golden coin print which is so lovely. The colour is pleasing and not the usual bright red new year colour, which I suppose we can use it all year round.

Placed a red mat under my sewing machine, looking super auspicious now.

I have 2 chinese knots and didn't know where to put them, so I have decided to put one here at my entrance door. Luckily for me, the suction hook works and managed to hold up the chinese knot throughout the festive period.

Aaahh....re-using my previous year glass stickers which I bought from NTUC.

This year, I have a new console to decor my CNY items and put my New Year vase with flowers. Previous years, I will put this red flower vase at the kitchen island.

Something a little different this lunar new year is my paper wheels!

I admit, my living room now is in a bit of a mess as the CNY is so close to James' 7th year birthday, so it is a mish mash of CNY decor and birthday Paw Patrol decor. Gosh, and i hated my online balloon buy this time round because many of my foil balloons had slits in them and so they can be blown up. I had to find the slits and scotch taped them, but they deflate rather quickly. You can see the difference in the "H" and "P".
