Reno@432B - Pre Reno Photos

Hello!

I'm stepping into another phase of my life! We have finally sold our flat in Stirling and currently in search of a place to call our home for the past 2 months. After searching relentlessly online and with several agents, I must say this place is somewhat like a god's gift from heaven!!!

it was used as an office space with most of the original walls torn down and so when we visited this apartment, we thought it was just the perfect home for us! Because we can save some money from hacking and rebuild a totally new layout for the 5 of us. Hubs, myself, Jules, James and Jade!

it was tabula rasa.
This is the pantry area for the staff that faces a common courtyard. We love the old retro glass blocks and will definitely be keeping it. Unfortunately the windows here are all in bad shape and faulty, so we have to change all to new windows.
This is the office area with grid tile ceiling and casette air-conditioning. All these are gonna go!
And we tearing off all the carpet flooring too.
Another part of the office with a really small and dirty toilet. I don't think they used this toilet at all.
There's an escape door that leads straight down. The furthest end where you see the windows was the old balcony area and they created a half height wall with windows and levelled the floor.
Many beams in this space, but I guess we just have to work around it. The water pipes are all in cast iron. OMG, so we need to change them to PVC ones...so that's going to cost us some plumbing works. The ceiling is quite high too and so the windows are relatively big and to get new ones means more money too! Was hoping to keep the windows but hubs says better to do new ones with clear window panes. And I think he probably wants his black framed windows too.

Reno@240JE - FINAL PHOTOS

Hello!
Hope everyone's weekend went well. We did a photoshoot last sunday and here are the photos to share with everyone. It's a 5 room HDB resale and on a shoestring budget. Cement screed flooring for all areas including the kitchen and minimal built in carpentry for kitchen and master bathroom.

For the kitchen, we only did one row of kitchen carpentry at the bottom and finished with a glass backsplash which is really useful to jot down note, recipes and stuff. Kitchen island trollery was bought form IKEA. Barnyard style.

 above:cute couch potatoes
above: we did a wood bar counter by the balcony

above: lovely suar table for the dining, complete with long bench and chairs

above: white muji fan by the corner with mi-robot cleaner.
I love all the white, grey and woody hues here. Gives a very clean yet warm vibe.

above: here's the simple kitchen which we did. 2 swing doors and 6 drawers.

above: scribbles on the glass backsplash to remind them to do the grocery

Although it's a cement screed flooring, I wouldn't say the interiors is leaning anywhere industrial.
