Using black glass for the tv console media area.
Sometimes when the tv console is finished in a full solid laminate, be it a flip down cover or a drawer, you will need to at least "open" it up to let the infra red rays from the remote control reach your media devices.
One convenient way is to have glass cover to allow the infra red rays to penetrate through! This way, ,you don't have to get off from your seat to lift the cover down when you are using the remote control and still manage to keep your tv console looking "neat".
