music is soothing while we clean and clear our home - our little jukebox which i bought for wj for christmas...she looks fabulously retro...

when you first move in, it's always empty, wait till you move in, things will start to pile up!

canisters! lovely! and my greenie coaster from HK.

Stirling HDB Terrace - #272 Handyman

hubs is trying to fix up a rack at our yard...and our poor drill is so not drilling through our homogenous tiles!!! After one drill, it got so heated up that it started to soften like a candle!!!
And after the 2nd drill bit, hubs gave up...and zzz.

see...hubs is damn tired...i dunno whether it was him doing all the hard work, or the poor drill bit that got melted from so much drilling.

Stirling HDB Terrace - #271 Whale shape sponge!!!

ain't our dishwashing sponge cute!!! A gift from wj's mum!!! haha...must be thinking that we needs loads of washing in our new place since everywhere is so filled with dust!

Stirling HDB Terrace - #270 Bits of our new Home

Stirling HDB Terrace - WMF Kitchen ware

Life's a change.

bought some suction hooks to hang our towels in the toilets and we bought more WMF stuff from Tangs. After marriage, my whole life has taken a turn and it's really a new page in life where i even visit shopping areas where I didn't take any notice before. For one thing, I'm now paying more attention to Tangs home rather than Tangs Studio!

i bought a laddle, stirrer, disher, scissors, can opener and a knife set! Will post my knife set another time!

Stirling HDB Terrace - #261 LOST & FOUND

i found this in our treasure chest!

how time flies.

Stirling HDB Terrace - #260 Gardening Tools

Went to Daiso and got ourselves more gardening tools. It's really fun decorating our garden up! I'm enjoying every minute of it, while shopping of course. hahaha...we found a little red elephant watering can for hub's pitcher plant, some plant sticks made out of metal, really cute, in the shapes of buckets. So i decided to poke them into our 'cool' theme bamboo planter.

I also bought a chick-a-dee plant stick for our outdoor garden. And its wings comes with a windmill. So hilarious! Hubs was saying that when the wind comes, it might look like it's flapping its wings!

Stirling HDB Terrace - #258 Plant Markers

Nifty products for gardening!
Bought these pretty plant markers from Daiso, $2 for 3 sticks. Or i suppose you can always make them yourselves too if you have the time. Now i can put their scientific names to them

Stirling HDB Terrace - #257 Vanity Cupboard

WEEKEND UPDATES
2nd last piece of carpentry works to be done for our home - vanity cupboards at the master toilet area.

Think the whole thing took pretty quick to be done up, wasn't there personally to supervise the works cos when we got back to our HDB, we realised that there were some dust and paint shavings on the floor, so we knew that someone has been in the flat to do some works.

And so we looked around, and saw that this newly erected work on the wall.

So now it's leaving the mirror pieces to be stuck on before i can see my pretty reflection!

~hee hee~

Stirling HDB Terrace - #256 Life before the SpinMop

It's been a hard day's night, and I've been working like a dog...

It's been a hard day's night, I should be sleeping like a log....

Stirling HDB Terrace - #255 DRILLING!

KITCHEN WORK
After some spinning mop! It's time for some noisy drilling!!!
Hubs sure enjoyed his drilling fun since it's the first time for him. *zoom zoom* I think he feels like a very capable handyman, climbing up and down on our IKEA 2 step stool, a big drill in his hands, looking all very busy and important. Yup.

Yes...I need you to drill 2 holes in the wall to put my curtain up. Yes yes, without you, I'm really lost.
Hmm, have you ever since a male bird fluffing up his chest feathers, trying to look big+fluffy and important. I think it appears to hubs chest now!

Look at the tools he has spread on the floors. Messy! Oh wells, as long as he gets the curtain up, cleans and tidy up his tools, have a good time doing all the manly work. YAY for me!

Stirling HDB Terrace - #253 Bedframe

FRAMING OUR ROOM
here's another shot of our bed frame. Though it's nothing much but we still love it. And plus it's made from raw teak without any finish gives it an au naturel look!

Teak is also a very hardy wood thus you needn't fear about termite problems.
Also it will last for a really long time if you take care of it.

Finally it's the simplicity of the design that we fell in love with it and bought it immediately. Now it's just moving our mattress over and to dress our new bed frame with sheets, pillows and fluffy quilts to make the whole bedroom complete.
