2 weeks ago, the whole place was still in a mess as painting was in progress. Now the contractor has cleaned up the place, painting completed, air con units are installed, the glass sliding door to the kitchen is up too and we can see the beautiful mosaic tiles on the kitchen flooring!

Engineered wood, also called composite wood, man-made wood, or manufactured board, includes a range of derivative wood products which are manufactured by binding or fixing the strands, particles, fibers, or veneers or boards of wood, together with adhesives, or other methods of fixation to form composite materials.

It's made of 5mm of Oak and the bottom bit of the wood plank is made with plywood. It can't be sand or varnish. So if it's scratched, you probably got to live with it. The pro side of things...it's for those with a budget in mind and wants real wood flooring.
