yes it's been 2 weeks since our housewarming and it's time to change our sheets! and Yellow is currently our fave colour and I've been so eager to change into this one as i have it stored in my cupboard for almost half a year now!!!
I don't know about how one feels about clean new sheets but i feel very invigorating when i see pretty sheets like these and makes me want to jump into bed and rub my legs against them!

Introducing my latest edition home stuff! Meet Reindeer head in "tres chic" pattern. It's a home accessory product from Germany. They come in many different floral and abstract patterns to suit every home's style and needs. Made of cardboard material, it's very eco-friendly and a great piece to deck the walls.
Plus it's quite fun putting the pieces together! Hubs was wondering did i buy him a jigsaw puzzle!!! hahaha...

the day started with a slight drizzle and pray to god that he loves me.
because...
1) i have no place to put my catered food except the open to sky timber deck
2) should it rain, all the food will be wet
3) should it rain, all my friends will be upset with wet food
4) i hope the leaves from the tree will not fall into the food

>>> Went to a flea mart on Sunday and hubs was enchanted with a polka dotted casserole dish! Truly! it was something which he wanted (relentlessly) which i thought it was so me. Or rather have i influenced him with dots and spots??? Anyway, we agreed to buy that mini casserole dish since it was on offer and thought it was quite the perfect home for our butter which currently sits naked and cold in the chiller department... ok he has a silver wrap around him, not totally naked.

Back home, i turned the casserole to its back and found that it was from GreenGate!
GreenGate is a Danish company who create beautiful products for the home in shabby chic, vintage and Scandinavian designs.

colours and prints

lately I've been influenced by a colleague who's really into Marimekko and gosh their prints are really getting to me as well!

Here's what i found online:
In the 90's Marimekko achieved publicity in the hit series Sex and The City! The fictional main character of the series, sex-and-relationship columnist Carrie Bradshaw wore a Marimekko bikini on the season 2 and later on, a Marimekko dress. On the fifth season the series also introduced tablecloths with Marimekko prints.

and now I've bought myself 2 tea towels in their poppy prints and feeling really happy about it!

Rem the flea mart which i was telling you about, well beside getting the Greengate casserole, we got ourselves some glass bottles for storage. Really vintage looking and pretty. and they were all on offer from $4-$9 each depending on size!

Stirling HDB Terrace - #312 IKEA cabinet lights

over a series of weekends + home project

1. First we fixed the door panels as a weekend project and
   
2. The following weekend, we went back to Ikea to get some lights to install into our cupboards to add some ambiance to the shelves.
   
3. We also changed some of our solid wood shelves to glass shelves. This will allow the light to penetrate to the lower shelf for display items.

dad says i'm buying the whole ikea down!
