Reno@608BP - Hacking works completed

You know HDB is quite strict with regard to hacking and demolition works right? So basically contractor has only 3 working days where he is allowed to do "noisy" works so that he doesn't affect the residents for a prolonged duration. So here at 608BP, the demolition works have fully completed!

all kitchen carpentry has been torn down, wall and floor tiles hacked, all sanitary ware has been removed. all electrical works stripped down from ceilings and walls...even walls that need to be hacked are all down too! Now, what's remains are debris which needs to be cleared out.

This afternoon, we are here to go through the tiling works, where the new walls are going to be, where the new doors are going to be located etc.

above: bomb shelter ventilation sleeve. Do they still do it in square now? Or it's just all circular ones?

Reno@Geylang Maisonette - FINAL PHOTOS

hello!
Here's a recently completed maisonette in Geylang which we have done up over the past few months. This maisonette features a splendid open concept kitchen with an island kitchen that forms the integral part of the whole design for the lower floor. The home owners had real fun having company over where everyone basically gathers at this kitchen island for home cooked food.

a mix of old and new.
Part of the kitchen straddles between the new and old flooring.
Kitchen island in rustic wood laminate finish topped with quartz countertop.
kitchen backsplash in small marble like hexagonal tiles with a raw finish
above: detail of marble like hexagonal mosaic tiles. super pretty.
home owners especially request for powerpoints in silver finish for kitchen island.

Lourve door to bathroom on the right

Pretty wire basket, hand carried all the way back from Japan

wooden mirror and ledge from MUJI

repeated hexagonal shape tiles for the common bathroom downstairs.
Accent wall in a darker tile for contrast. Similar yet different.
A choice in detail which is subtle and not overly distinguished.
wooden wall coat hooks from MUJI

dining table from IKEA (i think so...correct me if im wrong! hahah)

super huge barn door which our contractor had some trouble fabricating and installing
upstairs - herringbone engineered oak, sourced by home owners.

fuzz free, simple open master bathroom. bare minimal.

open to sky balcony finished in engineered wood decking, sourced by home owners.
