Reno@104 LT - Renderings

Reno@Trivelis II - Pre Reno Photos

Our reno at Trivelis II is starting soon! Today we are here to recce the place with our electrician and to go through some works with him as there's quite a bit of built in carpentry to be done so there's quite abit of electrical works which we need to pull out first before the carpenter can come in.

We have confirmed all the painting colours and laminate selection with the home owners, so just need to meet the carpenter when he's available to go through the design.

The thing with DBSS is that they come in shift-in conditions which makes the renovation very speedy! The bathrooms' vanity are done and so is the kitchen, so basically we just have to do up the living and bedroom areas.

So for DBSS flats, the reno take about 1.5 months to complete thereabouts, depending on the amount of work that needs to be added or altered.

Reno@Trivelis - Light holders completed

Last week, the electric works were being done, so this week the partition works guys were here to do their job. Plus we have about 1 more week's time before the carpentry will be delivered on site for the final fixing. This week, we will do painting works and cleaning up before the carpentry comes in.

And that will be the final lap of the reno!
So fast right.

Reno@TY Maisonette - First coat of paint too!

Reno at our TY Maisonette is so similar to our S Maisonette! Both renos are running concurrently at the same speed and at similar stages. Over here, this week, primer has been painted over the entire flat. The light holders and partition works have completed. All air con trunking is completed too.

 Our contractor is here too! checking out the progress. And we are here to go through the carpentry works with the carpenter.

 Upstairs bathroom - fully tiled. Water works all done. False ceiling completed. 

Now waiting for carpentry to come in together with the glazing works, sink and WC installation.

Common bath upstairs - are you wondering what we are building here? It's the base for a small bath tub! Yeap. This will take up some time before we can install the bath tub in. But other works will continue...plus we still need to finish the flooring for the bedrooms. Installation is target for middle of May. Goodness! I really don't know whether can we finish everything by end May!!!

Reno@HollandD - Bathroom floor tiles in!

This week, the floor tiles are completed! The place definitely looks cleaner now and more "finished". We have gone through one round with the carpenter on the design as well as some on-site measurements. So once we finished installing the aircon and painting works, carpentry can start. Probably have to wait another 2 more weeks or so for the carpenter to do the carpentry in the factory before moving them over here.

Reno@S Maisonette - First coat of paint

It's really wonderful to see how a flat can transform over a period of time! Look how far our S maisonette has come. Now it's starting to take shape, looking brighter and whiter. The spaces are more defined, the light holders are 90% completed, the first coat of primer has been rolled on.

just one week of work and with the primer on, the difference is pretty big!

 The balcony is looking so airy and bright!

Light holders are in place too. Problem with old flats, the ceiling is not flat, so when the light holders are up, sometimes you see abit of distortion...many of our home owners think it's the light holders that is installed crooked but actually it's the ceiling.

Happy May Day!

Just wanted to share with my readers on this long weekend - a really nice photo of my flowers from Daiso! Bought these pretty white flowers which cost me only $2 per stalk and I've put them into my recycled coffee jar (nescafe bottle).

Makes me real happy to have pretty and affordable buys!
