Stirling HDB Terrace - #207 Gardening

"starting our little nursery"
well we have been keeping ourselves busy over the long weekend. Besides watching National day parade on tv, we also got our hands and fingers dirtied at our little corner garden patch, which wj calls it his flower patch. Although i do not think it's a flower patch yet, far from it actually. It looks more of a green patch.

we bought a rake from Far East Flora to sweep up all the leaves cos the cleaner isn't really good at his job. So might as well assist him a little bit. We also purchased some plants from Far East Flora too...

we bought 2 pots of Song of India, 2 pots of Graptophyllum, 4 small plastic bags of green shrubs. Not sure what species are they, but they look kinda furry and cute. Plus 2 medium size pots of shrubs that has tiny white flowers, think they are called False Heather (cuphea hyssopifolia).

our gardening tools. realised that we need a SPADE to do all the hard work!!!
A shovel wasn't good enough to dig the earth out. Luckily our neighbour had a crowbar so daddy used it to loosen the earth around our area so that we could shovel some earth out to re-pot the plants.

wj raking in the leaves on the top soil before he starts his digging.

here's how they look after planting them outside our window area. While we were re-potting, mum was busying herself with her new toy - rake. So you see, all the leaves were neatly swept into a pile for the cleaner to come and clear tomorrow.
