here are some our initial thoughts for the Kovan Couple.
The lower floor is clearly zoned into 3 areas:
1) storage and utility area tuck to one side. The idea is to create a new store as the current store under the staircase is very small, therefore more storage the better! We also design that the store, common toilet and yard are all "hidden" away from guests and you will only see the kitchen area and guest room.
2) kitchen and yard to open up and flow into living and dining area - that way allows wife to overlook baby when she is cooking or washing/hanging clothes
3) maintain living and dining area as one clean long space for cross ventilation and daylighting.
We had 2 options for the couple to decide with the main difference lies with an open concept kitchen on the lower floor and the master bedroom configuration on the upper floor.
The other rooms were illustrations on how to reconfigure the space from o months to 5 years for baby, toddler, kid, to 1 child or 2 children.
