So we decided to look for an alternative source and found LURF which had quite a large range of vinyl flooring in many different timber-look-alike colours. If you are looking at herringbone pattern flooring, they also have them and it comes from Korea. Visited their website but I decided it was best to go down to the shop myself to see the real thing and colour.
They have 2 outlets, one at Genting and another at Toa Payoh which closes at 8pm. So after work, we rushed down to the Toa Payoh outlet to take a look. I found 2 which was closest to what I initially wanted.
The lady was quite friendly and introduced us their products. She quoted us some rates for the vinyl flooring (think it was $7) and explained that there will be more wastage (10%) for herringbone as compared to the traditional straight lay ones. I went home with the 2 selected vinyl flooring samples and a freebie - measuring tape.
Something to think about for the weekend.
