Reno@T2 Maisonette - New Beginnings
Connectivity.
Carrying the grocery from the main entrance into the kitchen in a straight line, means it's easy and quick.
Dishing delicious food out directly to the dining area, means everyone gets their food hot.

Reno@T2 Maisonette - Pre Reno Photos
We are embarking on another maisonette project for a family of 4. Here are some existing photos of the place before we start renovation. Looking at a major overhaul to the flooring, bathrooms, balcony areas, walls and ceiling. Full re-wiring, plumbing and painting works. Definitely new wardrobes for the rooms, new doors and full carpentry to the kitchen.
probably keep the staircase railing cos it looks like it is still in pretty good shape!
All wall and floor tiles in all 3 bathrooms got to go!
have to get new doors too and seal up the space above the door, if not aircon will leak out
cupboards in the kitchen are giving up already!
current placement of the tv.
Reno@104 LT - TIling on the lower floor
And if subway tile isn't your thing, what the home owners here have tried out is small white mosaic tiles for the balcony!

Reno@LAS Maisonette - New Beginnings
july is a busy month for us!
this month we starting renovations for 3 maisonettes, all different in their own special ways.
The LAS maisonette recessed area has been purchased by the previous owner which will be designed as an entrance foyer to screen off private areas from public eyes. The wet kitchen and utility is seen as part of the private domain of the flat.
THE SOCIAL KITCHEN
While the kitchen is seen as the robust and highly traffic-able area, there's always room for a quiet moment. Tucked at the furthest end of the flat is the curved wall library, a part of the new home for winding down.

THE SOCIAL KITCHEN
The island kitchen is a generator for social mingle &
interaction. The host can prepare the food while the guests mingle at
the island for food tasting or drink preparation. It creates a warm cozy
atmosphere, making everyone feels connected, creating an informal audience.
The
open concept kitchen hence becomes a focal point in the design. The island becomes a
useful and decorative tool - whether to serve as a get-together,
prepping counter or bar. The dry kitchen is placed side by side to an alternative formal sit down dinner dining.

Reno@Trivelis (5 room DBSS) - FINAL PHOTOS
Trivelis 5 room flat comes with a huge balcony and if you are staying on the high floors, you can expect unobstructed view that stretches far and into the city! The balcony doubles up as a dining area during good weathers while the breakfast counter serves as an alternative venue if dark clouds loom by.
If you are interested in seeing how the interior of the storage bench looks like, please click here which i have posted earlier.

For the master, there was a need for more storage area as the current wardrobe was pretty small. A storage bedframe and 2 side drawers were customised. The storage bedframe will come in handy for storing linen while the side drawers will store personal bed items.
The master room uses a light wood laminate for both the bed and display shelf that is warm and soothing to the eyes.
A timeless and gentle composition.
hubs loves this ratten chair - statement piece in the master room.
Anchoring down a circular grey carpet.
The master shower area was very luxurious in terms of space. But lacking in storage which was a necessity. The current cabinet under the sink was not enough to put all "everyday" items like toothpaste, toilet papers, detergent, toilet bowl wash etc etc. We reduced the existing shower area, erected a new wall and added a tall cabinet to put shower and bathroom items.
Another design in the master which I personally love is this shelf which we customised. It was a wall niche that looked like a sort thumb, making the room looked kinky. Now it's personalized and accessorized by the missus to perfection. I just love the pale wood laminate which she has chosen that actually becomes warmer with the ocher downlights.
Hope everyone enjoyed our Trivelis House Tour!
xoxo

Reno@104 LT - Toilet updates (subway tiles)
subway tiles are still in the rage! It's popularity is unwavering.
Little bit of history...
Subway tiles get their names from the ceramic tiles used on the walls
of the New York City subway stations in the early twentieth century. My bet that the Mets use them because they are cheap and easy to maintain?
As subway tiles are getting more and more popular in singapore, many tile shops are actually carrying more colours of this favourite tile. So besides spending time on thinking what colour subway tile you should be getting for your kitchen or bathroom, you probably should think about the grouting colour too as the grout lines will accentuate the lines of the subway tiles.
My gut feel on using subway tiles definitely adds a bit of traditional feel to your home and I suppose the look will not grow old.
