Little bit of history...
Subway tiles get their names from the ceramic tiles used on the walls
of the New York City subway stations in the early twentieth century. My bet that the Mets use them because they are cheap and easy to maintain?
As subway tiles are getting more and more popular in singapore, many tile shops are actually carrying more colours of this favourite tile. So besides spending time on thinking what colour subway tile you should be getting for your kitchen or bathroom, you probably should think about the grouting colour too as the grout lines will accentuate the lines of the subway tiles.
My gut feel on using subway tiles definitely adds a bit of traditional feel to your home and I suppose the look will not grow old.
